CHRIS SUTTON has sent a warning to Celtic after they had what seemed like, a close call in Paisley on Sunday.

The Hoops just weren’t at the races during the first half against St Mirren, as they trailed 1-0 at the break.

Abada’s introduction completely changed the game for the Hoops, as they started to get more joy down the wings. Then, five goals later, Celtic marched out of Paisley with the three points and two goals to add to their difference over second place.

The bench played its role today; without a bench packed with quality, its hard to see Celtic leave with the three points. However, the match should come as a warning to Celtic. It looked like Celtic would be leaving with no points after their first-half performance, and that complacency could’ve seen Celtic’s lead shrink to six points.

Sutton Tweeted:

There are now 11 games left of the season, with Celtic nine points ahead.

  1. Celtic are at their best when Jota is on the left and Abada is on the right. This has been shown numerous times. Why Ange plays Maeda before Jota in the left position is baffling! Maeda works tirelessly but has offered nothing in an attacking sense in the last 2 games. In the cup final he couldn’t cross the ball without kicking it out and missed an open goal with a fresh air swipe, just as well Kyogo was behind him.

  2. What’s yer point Chris celtic were wearing st mirren down even there even there boss admitted it Miadeo does so much catching midfielders with his tracking back even back in his half with St mirren down to 10 men there we didn’t need him tracking back so abda is a different player and ho won man of the match but it will be same starting team on Wed might
