CHRIS SUTTON has reacted to the news Liverpool wants to bring in James Forrest for around £8million after reports today claimed the Anfield club were keen to sign the winger.

Sutton could not hold back his laughter as he scoffed at the price being bandied about.

James Forrest has had a blistering season at Celtic, and for Scotland, so he’s always going to be linked with a move away.

However, Sutton feels if the player does ever move on, it will be for much more than £8million.

The midfielder only signed a new deal just a few months ago and is locked into his Parkhead contract until 2022. If Liverpool or anyone else wants to sign him, it’s going to take a lot more than £8million.

Very average players in the Premier league can go for upwards of £15million, so Celtic should not be selling anyone short.

Not to mention, the player is happy at his boyhood heroes.
