CHRIS SUTTON believes that Celtic were naive at times on Wednesday night but has predicted that the team will learn from the experience as they look to bounce back next year.
The former Celtic man was complimentary of the squad on commentary, stating his satisfaction with the players’ character as they continued to attack the match despite being a few goals down.
Taking to Twitter, the BT pundit admitted his concerns, but gave a prediction for a bounceback.
Tough night. Unforgiving but got to stick with it. You could say there is a naivety about this Celtic team when still throwing men forward at 3 and 4 nil down but that’s the Ange process and Celtic miss some huge chances… I think Celtic will be better for this experience 🍀

Celtic will look to win the league this year and avoid playing playoffs to get into the competition next summer. They’ll then use the experience from this year to better themselves for next year’s challenge.
It was the first time that Celtic had been in the competition for five years; it was never going to be plain sailing this season. But Postecoglou will continue chipping away at the squad, make a few signings and work with a few players so that they’re better prepared for next season’s campaign.
