Chris Sutton named his dream Eleven he played alongside and it includes 5 former Celtic teammates but NOT Celtic manager Neil Lennon.

Sutton is close friends with the Celtic manager so it’s a surprise to see that Lennon didn’t make the list but in fairness it’s a packed midfield. The BT Pundit named a solid squad with the likes of Shearer and Desailly coming shoulder to shoulder with Mjallby and Larsson.

Lennon can seek comfort in the fact players like Paul Lambert and John Hartson didn’t make the cut either!

Sutton has played all over the place starring in clubs like; Celtic, Blackburn rover, Norwich City, Chelsea, Birmingham City and Aston Villa. He has one Cap for England to his name.

Chris has had a very good career making 409 appearances overall and scoring 143 goals across all the teams he’s played with. The Striker left Chelsea in 2000 and came to Celtic for 6 million. In 2006, he left Celtic due to troubles with the manager at the time, Gordon Strachan but his legs were gone by that point.

Sutton had been a major part of the punditry scene here in Scotland but that looks like it won’t continue into next season with BT no longer holding any rights to the SPFL. The big man will no doubt still be an outspoken pundit in his columns and on Saturday BT football shoes.

  1. When Lennon played. We were a man down he was a ball chaser. Getting a foot in on any second attempt just like brown nothing getting put forward butt. 95% back passing making forwards look stupid if they found space and nothing going to them from. Midfield.
