RYAN CHRISTIE netted for Celtic in the first half of the BetFred League Cup Final to send Celtic on their way to a SEVENTH consecutive domestic trophy won under Brendan Rodgers.
Christie got on the end of a deep pass from Dedryck Boyata very late in the first half, his first shot was saved but his follow up rattled the back of the net much to the delight of the Celtic support.
Former Celtic reserve player Charlie Christie looked like the proudest man in the stadium as he seen his bhoy hit the net for his boyhood heroes.

Celtic scored very late in the half after a long stoppage in play due to a head knock between GMS and Dedryck Boyata. The nasty collision saw former Celt Mackay-Steven knocked out momentarily and Boyata needing stitches. We hope the wee man makes a full recovery after being stretchered off.
For the goalscorer and his dad, it will be a moment not to be forgotten. Scoring the winner in a Cup Final is something special
