Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has hinted that he might be set to make his long-awaited return from injury.

The 28-year old central defender has been missing from action ever since December 2020, after picking up a serious knee injury in the Hoops final game of that year against Dundee United, which kept the Frenchman out long-term.

However, Jullien has slowly been working his way back to fitness and hinted on social media this afternoon that he could be nearing a return, putting up the caption ‘Green light’ with a picture of him alongside his teammates in training.

Ange Postecoglou has welcomed back several of his first-team squad back since coming back from the winter break. But, the return of Jullien would come as a further boost for the Celtic boss, who has yet to have the big defender available for selection due to injury.

With this hint, tomorrow could be the chance for the former Toulouse man to come back into the squad as the Hoops get set to take on Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup.

Even if he doesn’t feature tomorrow, the positive message appears to be that it won’t be too long until he is back and ready for action.
