CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN hasn’t kicked a ball for Celtic in 2021. The defender chasing back to clear a ball off the line against Dundee Utd in the final game of 2020 resulted in a season-ending injury.

The Frenchman is still in rehab for the knee injury and the hope is, he’ll be able to contribute to the team in the not too distant future.

When asked about the player’s condition before the Hoops take on Midtjylland in the Champions League qualifier second leg, the Celtic manager was honest enough to admit Christopher is still a while away from being in contention.

“With Chris he’s still a little bit away, he’s still in rehab, he’s working very hard” Ange told Celtic TV.

“I would expect a lease another couple of months for him”

Celtic have Carl Starfelt coming in and the Swede will be in the squad when the bhoys visit Tynecastle on Saturday. Carl and Chris will likely be the preferred defensive duo when everyone is fit. It will be up to Stephen Welsh to put the cat among the pigeons if he wants to keep his place in the Celtic side come October.

Jullien is certainly out for the first Glasgow Derby of the season which is scheduled for the end of August.

  1. If Welsh remains in the side for another week, (along with Taylor, Murray & especially RALSTON) then we’re in big trouble.

Criminal that we’re stuck with only them at this critical stage
