We now know Neil Lennon will be removed as the Celtic manager on Wednesday after a woeful season in charge.

John Kennedy will take over until the end of the season and then a new man should come in to try and win back Celtic’s title.

There will be so much change at Celtic over the course of the next few months. Peter Lawwell will be out, Neil Lennon is gone and it has emerged the club are already interviewing for a Sporting Director.

MailSport confirmed the club are looking at bringing in someone to take care of the footballing side of things and be the man to help any new head coach that does come in.

The Sporting Director role is absolutely pivotal to where Celtic go next and I would argue it’s as important as who will be our next manager.

Dominic McKay has a massive task on his hands this summer!

There have been a few rumours doing the rounds over potential candidates for the role but nothing concrete. Fergal Harkin’s name comes up again and again – the Irishman currently working at Manchester City.
