Celtic youngster Ben Wylie has completed a loan move to Northern Irish side Ballymena United until the end of the season.

The move was confirmed on the Ballymena official Twitter account but there is yet to be any word of confirmation from the club as of yet.

The young midfielder first joined the club back in 2018 under Brendan Rodgers signing his first professional contract with the Hoops after spending his youth days with Linfield in his home country.

After some impressive performances in the reserves/youth sides, Wylie gained himself a new deal last January which will run until December 2022.

Development of young players is something that a club like Celtic like to be held in high regard for some of the talent the club has created over the years.

Without any sort of competitive games at the minute for the reserve side, going out on loan is ideal for young players to go out and gain some much-needed experience.

We wish Ben all the best on the last six months of the season and hopefully, we see him come back an even better player.
