Last night, was a joyous moment. After 22 years the Scottish National side finally made it to an international tournament, defeating Serbia on penalties to reach Euro 2020.
One of the star men of the show was Celtic midfielder, Ryan Christie after his brilliant opening goal and emotional interview which grasped the whole of the nation and described how we were all feeling.
After last night, it is clear that the club needs to get the 26-year old, tied down on a new deal, with his current contract running out in the summer of 2022.
We all know the quality of Ryan and that was clearly on show last night. A performance like that will put anyone out there for the market to see, so Celtic will need to react fast and get back in talks with his representatives to get a deal done.
Other players at the club are in a similar position to Christie, in terms of the length of their contracts. Although we may not have seen the full best of him so far this season, it is clear we should be trying our upmost to get a new contract presented to him and signed, so that his long-term future is spent in Glasgow.
