ANDREW GUTMAN is tonight in football no mans land after his ‘loan club’ Nashville Soccer Club have tonight reported the MLS would not sanction the loan move and he will NOT be joining the US club.
In a statement this evening, Nashville revealed Andrew could not join them officially, and he would take no further part in proceedings at the club.
The defender was announced as a Celtic player on Thursday and fans were told he was heading back to America to continue his development.
Someone somewhere has not done their due diligence to make sure a deal was adequately in place and that all parties would be able to ensure it happened.
This leaves Celtic and Gutman scrambling with the player likely going to come into Lennoxtown earlier than expected after this debacle. It’s unlikely he will be loaned out before the summer unless a solution can be found.
