CELTIC will this weekend welcome Liverpool supporters’ union Spirit Of Shankly, Hillsborough families and survivors to Celtic Park in order for them to see railed seating first hand.
Of course, this is a very emotive subject in Liverpool but Celtic extended the invitation out to the group to show the benefits and the safety of Celtic’s own standing section.
The Spirit Of Shankly chairman welcomes the invite from Celtic and want to know more.
Speaking to the Liverpool echo: “After our overwhelming vote, and conversations since, there was clearly a need to know more. We’re grateful for Celtic to the invitation and it will be an opportunity for us to put to them the questions we had aired in our discussions last year.”
Celtic have been the first side in the UK to implement a safe standing section and have welcomed delegations from all across Europe to come and see how it works.
The standing section has been a success, helping to generate a good atmosphere and give fans a unique experience.
