John Collins told the media at Glasgow airport this morning that he was glad to see Liverpool drop out of the Champions League and that it strengthens the Europa League with teams like Liverpool in it.

“We watched it last night and seen Liverpool drop down to the Europa League so that’s great,” he said.

“I think it enhances the tournament when the big boys drop in and makes it exciting.

“There’s quite a few English teams there already and it would be nice to meet them further down the line.

“Obviously, we’d like an easy draw if there’s such a thing at this stage.

“But at the same time it is great for the club if players can test themselves against the big English sides as well.”

Celtic play their final group match of the competition tomorrow night in Zagreb. Celtic could draw Liverpool among with a host of Champions League drop outs in the last 32.
