CELTIC have very little time to lick their European wounds as a very important trip to Aberdeen looms for the Scottish Champions.

After the disappointment in Russia, the bhoys must refocus and take on a side who haven’t been beaten at home in the past five games.

However, while Aberdeen haven’t suffered defeat at Pittodrie lately – Celtic have won the last nine encounters in all competitions including two cup finals!

The Dons will also be looking to pick themselves up after being beaten 2-0 by Hibernian last week.

Former Celtic players Niall McGinn and Gary McKay-Steven are expected to start for the Dons. Celtic still have notable absentees in Patrick Roberts, Stuart Armstrong, Craig Gordon and Leigh Griffiths. Marvin Commper is apparently trying to get match fit now after shaking off an injury that has postponed the start of his Celtic career.

The major talking point from a Celtic fans point of view is will Dorus de Vries be dropped to give Scott Bain his debut as a Celtic player?

De Vries has come in for heavy criticism for his performance against Zenit and many feel Rodgers should cut his losses with the player the Irishman brought to Celtic from Nottingham Forest.
