CELTIC WINGER Daizen Maeda had to be substituted after just 30 mins in Celtic’s 3-1 victory over Hearts.

Ange Postecoglou admitted that Maeda had picked up a knock, and it would be a race against time for the player to be ready for Hearts for the second encounter of the week at the weekend.

However, it doesn’t look too positive in regards to the injury situation with Maeda, after he was spotted leaving Parkhead in crutches last night.

Hopefully, the crutches are just a precaution!

Maeda looked to pick up the injury during his goal in the 25th minute, colliding with Jambos keeper, and captain, Zander Clark.

He sat down about five minutes later, signalling to the bench that he was unable to carry on, and Jota was stripped and brought into action.

The Portuguese winger had a decent game, and was crucial in Kyogo’s goal, playing a wonderful over to Aaron Mooy who played the ball brilliantly through to the Japanese forward, who made no mistake and hit his 20th league goal, and 25th goal of the season.
