Celtic are looking to complete the next stage of the rebuild by shifting the deadwood from the team this summer.

With Barkas out the door and Soro attracting the interest from other clubs, fans are seriously concerned about the lack of Ajeti updates.

Celtic wasted £5 million on the Swiss striker who’s only netted the ball nine times in his Celtic career, that works out at about £500,000 a goal.

As things stand, Ajeti is sitting on £18,000 a week. Celtic are throwing £936,000 a year down the drain, money that could be spent else where. [Salary Sport]

If Celtic want to reduce their wage bill and move the striker on, they may have to contribute to the wages.

Albian Ajeti Seems Happy As Things Are

It’s frustrating for many Celtic fans who are keen to move the contributing players on, but the process is held up because the player will not have their Celtic wage matched at any other club.

Ajeti is under contract until 2024, and unless Celtic cut it short, Parkhead could be Ajeti’s home for another two years.

If money is what the player’s after, joining a club on a free could result in a better financial package for the player.
