Confirmed: Barkas Dropped – Starting XI For Midtjylland

We’re only one competitive game into the new season and I’m already feeling sorry for Ange Postecoglu. With two massive games in a few days the Australian is in at the deep end without a life jacket.

I actually can’t talk or write about the lack of defenders at Celtic Football Club now without going into some high blood pressure rage. The billionaires running the club have failed to act over the course of a year to fill a gaping hole that everyone knew was there.

That literally is as much as I can comment on it apart from saying big Ange needs to do some serious coaching tonight to get two twenty-year-old kids mentally right for a game in a foreign country after they leaked six goals the weekend.

Tonight’s crucial Champions League second qualifying round stands at 1-1 after another goalkeeping howler kept the Danish side in the tie when in truth, they should have been put away last week in Glasgow.

We all think we know the team tonight before it is announced mainly down to a lack of options but with the teams just officially out this is how the Bhoys line up tonight.

The one option big Ange had tonight was Barkas or Bain. The manager has dropped the Greek after back-to-back games with daft mistakes. Bain doesn’t actually inspire confidence but at least he’s had some decent games in a Celtic shirt at some point.

PSV or Galatasaray await in the next round, if Celtic fails to overcome Midtjylland, they drop into the third qualifying round of the Europa League to face FK Jablonec. Remember we have an earlier kick-off at 6.45 this evening.
