Celtic has confirmed the return of Brendan Rodgers as manager, marking a new era for the Scottish champions. The announcement came on the London Stock Exchange.
Rodgers, who previously led the club to seven domestic trophies between 2016 and 2019, takes the helm once again following the departure of Ange Postecoglou to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Northern Irishman’s return to Celtic Park has been met with anticipation and excitement, as well as a degree of controversy due to the circumstances of his departure to Leicester City four years ago.
However, Rodgers has always maintained his deep affection for the club and has expressed his eagerness to take on the challenge of leading Celtic to further success.
Rodgers’ return sees the backroom staff stay in place. Including Harry Kewell.
The Irishman has also been promised to be fully backed in the transfer market, with the manager’s goal to take positive steps in Europe.
He has signed a three-year-deal.
