DAVID TURNBULL is now discussing terms with Celtic over a potential move to the Scottish Champions after Motherwell confirmed this evening they had accepted a bid which vastly exceeded their current £1.75m transfer record.

The club will be required to not divulge the fee at the moment and have let their fans know the situation.

Turnbull scored 15 goals for the DSteelmen last season and Celtic have been heavily linked with the player for the last two weeks. Neil Lennon is said to be very keen on getting the player in immediately so he could start pre-season training as soon as Monday.

Right now, Celtic are the only club who have a bid accepted for the midfielder and the bhoys will hope to get terms agreed and a medical wrapped up and done before too long.

Turnbull would be Neil Lennon’s first signing since rejoining the club on a full time basis.
