CELTIC have confirmed they have taken their developmental side down to London for a fixture against the under 23s this Wednesday afternoon.
We had a sneaky suspicion something like this was about to be announced as a lot of the younger lads in the developmental side were postings social media updates from London over the past 24 hours or so.
This gives Celtic coaches a real chance to see what some of these players can do against top, young opposition.
Celtic’s developmental team don’t have regular fixtures and have to rely on games like these to bring on some of their talent. The Bhoys pulled out of the Reserve league along with other SPFL clubs last season.
It presents a problem for the Celtic coaches who’s job it is to get these players ready for the first team.
It will be a tough challenge for the young Celts and we’ll be sure to let you know how they get on in due course.
#CelticFC Reserves travel to take on @ChelseaFC U23s this afternoon in a closed doors friendly, 12noon kick-off.
