Celtic’s game against Hearts later in August has officially been moved from Saturday to Sunday due to the Jambos participation in Europa League qualifiers.

The bhoys were scheduled to take on the Tynescastle club at Celtic Park on August 20 at 3pm. It will now go ahead 24 hours later on August 21 at 3pm.

Celtic regularly have their fixtures amended for European duty and will most certainly need to do it themselves this season.

Hearts have the opportunity to head into the Europa League, but if they don’t manage it, the Conference League awaits.

Celtic have no qualifiers for the first time in a very long time. The bhoys will enter the Champions League in September with the draw for the tournament happening on August 25.

The game being moved will be a pain for supporters travelling from further afield who already had their plans in place.

Celtic got their SPFL title defence off to a winning start against Aberdeen at the weekend and have Ross County and Kilmarnock away before welcoming Hearts on August 21.
