CELTIC are playing Rennes in a friendly on Saturday, with the Hoops on a training camp in Portugal.

Celtic Rennes

Celtic fans were hoping they’d be able to watch their team in the 10 am kick-off, but Football Scotland is reporting that the match will not be on Celtic TV, or any other channel.

There’s been no coverage from the club as the players train in Portugal ahead of the league return against Aberdeen next Saturday. The club are wanting to use this time to let the players thoroughly prepare for the next few weeks, with a busy schedule booked in.

The first team squad is there, with Rocco Vata and Bosun Lawal stepping up from the B team set up to join them.

The friendly match comes after the Sydney Cup when the Celtic squad travelled down under to face Sydney and Everton in the cup’s inaugural year.

Celtic fans will have to wait until the trip to Pittodrie to see their team in action, while the club hopefully keep us updated through social media.
