Celtic have been quick to send one of their goalkeepers out on loan after securing the signing of Joe Hart this week.

Ross Doohan has made the move from Celtic to Tranmere on a season-long loan and will immediately join up with his new teammates.

The goalkeeper doesn’t look like he has a future at Celtic and he could very well be playing for his next move this season with the English side.

Ross was on loan at Ross County and Dundee Utd last season. He played under Micky Mellon at Dundee Utd who is now the Tranmere boss.

Celtic still have Joe Hart, Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard on the book after Ross moving out on loan. I would imagine either Scott or Vasilis will head out on a similar type deal before the end of the window.

You’d have to imagine Joe comes straight into the Celtic squad and becomes our number one. It leaves the two goalkeepers from the start of pre-season either on the bench or out of the squad completely.

Barkas and Bain have not shown enough to be considered first team players and it’s inevitable one of them will be loaned out or even sold on a permanent deal.
