CELTIC FANS won’t be complaining about the latest on Celtic managerial hunt after it was revealed by the man himself that he has had no approach from anyone at Celtic since Brendan Rodgers left the club.

Alex Neil was a candidate back before Brendan took over at Celtic and now that the Irishman has gone back to the Premier League the betting odds and speculation has put him back into contention.

However, most Celtic fans agree that this is not the man they would like to see take charge at Celtic Park this summer and if his comments are anything to go by it looks like he has ruled himself out and basically told us the club itself has ruled him out by not making an approach.

“I have got no intention of going anywhere else,” Neil told Lancashire Evening Post.

“I speak to Peter Ridsdale all the time about what we are doing here.

“There have been no discussions with any other club.

“My sole focus is on Preston and we are making plans for next season.”

Celtic are still searching for their next permanent manager who will be tasked with tying to bring home ten in a row.

This is not a decision to take lightly!
