There was some ambiguity among media sources about the actual fee but this puts it all to rest with the confirmation of this letter.
Moussa Dembele pushed a move through to France on the final day of the window after going on a social media rampage.
The striker called into question the integrity of the manager and gave fans a massive headache before the derby game.
Luckily for Celtic, it did not affect their performance on Sunday and Celtic can now move forward.
It’s worth noting that this fee smashed the Virgil van Dijk fee the club received which was set just a few years ago at £12.5million.
Considering Celtic signed the striker for 500k – it has been an outstanding investment.
It’s what Celtic do with that money now which will be of the utmost importance. We are still in need of strengthening.
Celtic may have beaten The Rangers with ease but there are far more difficult challenges ahead.
Use some of the money to buy in two top pros in age around 24 or 26 one defender and one midfielder i would be happy with that..
I thought our back line was brilliant but another striker is important just to push the other two. No need to waste any of the money
Sam Larson at Feyenord – £5 million touch , he has a game that the Celtic fans would adore. Likes to play wide left and float in , brilliantly skilled footballer who would take the left side up to champions league level. Have a look on u tube and tell me he’s no a tanner ball player who would grace Parkhead.
Is it all ours or do Fulham have a piece of the pie following the sale
I have to say, excellent deal for us and the orcs can only read it and weep
I thank Moussa for his efforts and wish him well for the future with Lyon
Looks like the only thing the suit’s will spend any of the cash after taxes. Will be for some architects drawing for the hotel. And even more unused coporate rooms. Give The Hoops faithfull a team to be proud of.. And increase the capacity of Paradise. More bums on seats = more cash each year to squirrel away on nothing.
Celtic being Celtic. We wont get a shilling
