Brendan Rodgers has a lot on the line in today’s semi-final at Hampden. Firstly, he is aiming for a double treble, a first for any team in Scotland. Secondly, he will want to keep his unbeaten record intact today against the third Sevco manager he has come up against.

The Newco are looking for their first win in 10 attempts against the formidable Rodgers. The Celtic boss has shown that tactically, he is far superior to the competition. He proved this once again when Celtic went down to ten men at Ibrox the last time the sides met.

Celtic fans may have hoped for something more adventurous with today’s team selection but Rodgers seems to have gone with a solid, tried and tested formation. A very strong Celtic bench could turn this game if things are not going the Hoops way.
