Celtic are just one point away from securing their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title as they prepare to face Dundee United at Tannadice this afternoon.

Brendan Rodgers’ side arrive in Tayside knowing that avoiding defeat will be enough to officially confirm the championship, with the Hoops currently 15 points clear at the top of the table with five games remaining.

The Parkhead side have been dominant across the campaign and will be looking to wrap up the league in style before heading into the final stretch of the season, which also includes a Scottish Cup final date with Aberdeen next month as they chase down another domestic treble.

Rodgers has spoken throughout the week about maintaining standards and finishing the season strongly, regardless of the points gap. Celtic come into the match on the back of an emphatic 5-1 win over Kilmarnock and a 5-0 dismantling of St Johnstone at Hampden last weekend to book their place in the Scottish Cup final.

The Hoops will also be looking to make history on an individual level today, with James Forrest on the brink of becoming the most decorated player in the club’s history should Celtic claim the title.
