CELTIC have taken 24-year-old Moses Odubajo on trial during their pre-season in Austria.

The right back is a free agent, leaving Hull this summer after spending three seasons with the English club.

Brendan Rodgers is looking for competition and a potential replacement for Mikael Lustig and is giving the player a shot to prove he’s fit and ready to go after an injury ravaged couple of seasons.

Both Celtic’s right backs are at the World Cup currently and the club are likely to be without a natural full back for their first Champions League qualifier.

If Odubajo proves himself quickly he could find himself in an advantageous situation.

  1. I heard about that South African boy who failed the medical for Celtic’s career could be over and read a headline about a “lucky escape” for us in not signing him. I understand the headline, and not wanting the club doing a Prodan, but couldn’t help but think of the guy. It’s a short career and can end that day for some of them. Anyway, Odubajo, I’ll pray for you that you overcome your injury and become Celtic’s greatest ever Champion’s League winning right back if you’ll keep your end of the bargain ??
