Celtic travel to Ibrox this afternoon to face Rangers in a Scottish Cup knockout round. The Hoops have a poor record this season in the league against their rivals but can take some heart from their performances from their last two meetings, two games the Bhoys should have won.

The big concern for fans today was if James Forrest would be fit to start the game. Interim Celtic boss John Kennedy revealed during the week that James Forrest was racing against time to be fit for Sunday. The Scotland winger has recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines following ankle surgery.

In his first Premiership start since September, he scored against Livingston at Parkhead on Saturday with his second goal in two games but came off just before the hour mark in the 6-0 win with a back and hamstring niggle.

Meanwhile, the Ibrox team have had midfielder Ryan Jack ruled out for the rest of the season while captain James Tavernier was also a doubt for today.

With the team sheets just officially announced here is how the Celtic team line out:

Sometimes you assume managers like to play some games with their opposite numbers in derby games about the availability of certain players, I actually thought we would see Forrest at least in the squad today but the tricky winger is back on the treatment tables.

Kick-Off Is 3 pm.
