We all know Celtic won’t be playing in the Champions League in 2018, tonight gives the hoops the opportunity to ensure they will be playing some European football.

Three Games against PSG and Bayern Munich will be erased from Celt’s memory. Some heart can be taken from the manner in which Celtic lost to Bayern the last time out and it’s that kind of performance that Celtic will be looking for tonight against Anderlecht. One of Celtic’s best performances away from Celtic Park in Europe came at the expense of Anderlecht in the hoops second group game.

The 3-0 scoreline really did flatter the performance. Worryingly for Anderlecht, they will come up against a much tougher Celtic tonight with a full batch of defenders to choose from and an on fire strike trio. They will also have to contend with a noise they won’t of experienced in Paris or Munich.

It looked like Brendan Rodgers had rested players for tonight’s game, luckily for him the players that got brought in put on a show and humiliated Motherwell by putting 5 goals past them.

The match will also be a landmark occasion for Scott Brown, who is set to overtake Kenny Dalglish’s Scottish record of 68 European Cup appearances.

The key question on everyone’s minds this evening is who was Rodgers going to go with up front. The answer is big Moussa for the big games.

  1. One things a Certainty,This Team Are Doing Well and will Continue to do well in Our Premier. But when it comes to European Football there are elements within this side that are just Not The right Quality or Character for my Club.I mean we cant even beat Anderlecht at Home in a CL game!!!!Let that sink in for a minute. We have beaten a lot of Big Scalps at Paradise,Teams use to feat facing Us at Fortress Parkhead. Those days are a distant memory. We are Still in the Europa but if we dont get some decent quality in the next Window,Realistically Speaking,Teams will want us.Gordon Boyata and Armstrong,Need Benched. We are Dominating Scottish Football and that Wonderful. In Europe We Need To Be Wearing That Jersey With fcking Pride. And showing,We Are No Mugs.HH n Awrat

  2. On the Homefront in the Scottish Premier,Everythings Going Hoopily. But in Europe,PSG Bayern and Even Anderlecht,Yes EVEN Anderlecht can come to Paradise and Walk away with 3 points in the Bag.Even though we are Through to the Europa,Is it worth the excitement???.I cant see Us doing Anything in that Competition Unless we get some Really really Good Quality in at the Back.Boyata is a nightmare,Armstrong were to start with Him.And we need another goalie too.We have come on Leaps n Bounds in Our Premier. And 10 or More In A Row,Is A Realistic Aim.But there is NO progress in European games if truth be Told.Even though we progressed to the Europa.I wouldnt get too carried Away,Just Yet.As much as i love my Club,Realistically if we dont bring in a few decent signings.HH

  3. Couldnt believe was i was witnessing watching Celtic v Anderlecht at Parkhead.Gone are the days when teams coming to Paradise were lucky to leave with a draw,Very rarely a win.All is just Dandy on the Domestic Front. There isnt a team that can push us to the limits. And thats effecting our performances in European Competition. We need a strong Aberdeen Hibernian Hearts and St Johnston.Make our league more interesting. It would be absolutely wonderful if our Oldest Glasgow Rivals Partick Thistle could get some consistancy in there game and push some of the teams who are above them at the moment.
