Saturday’s round of fixtures in the SPFL made for interesting results without having too much effect on the top half of the table. Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock dropped points after a 1-1 draw with Rangers at Ibrox. Aberdeen dropped more points at home.

Some of the tackles/assaults in the Ibrox clash have left a lot of people looking for some retrospective action to be taken against the one and only Alfredo Morelos. The thug just doesn’t learn, hopefully, he leaves Scottish football in the summer.

The bottom line is that Celtic are presented for the second week in a row with an opportunity to create a ten-point gap in the table before the Glasgow derby. The good news for Celtic fans this morning is that Callum McGregor is back in the starting line-up. The other big news is that both Lustig and Toljan are in the team with the Swede playing a centre back role. Edouard will lead the line while Mikey Johnston gets a start ahead of Oli Burke.

CELTIC: Bain; Toljan, Lustig, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Johnston, Sinclair; Edouard

Subs: De Vries, Benkovic, Hayes, Henderson, Weah, Burke, Bayo
