Despite Hibs poor form this season, Celtic will face up to their toughest opponents since Neil Lennon took charge of the Edinburgh side. Celtic have won just one of their last five away top-flight matches against Hibernian (D2 L2) having won five consecutive Scottish Premiership games at Easter Road prior to this run.

The Celtic team is starting to feel the bruising fixture list as they play 9 games in December. Each game that passes sees some casualties. Lustig and Christe both left the field of play Thursday night giving Brendan Rodgers some selection headaches.

Giving some of the stats above, Easter Road is not the place you want to go without a full complement of players. Thursday was also a grueling night mentally on the players and management staff. Unlike previous Celtic managers, Brendan Rodgers seems to enjoy some domestic success after big European nights.

Today’s Starting XI:

Gordon, Ajer, Benkovic, Simunovic, Izaguirre, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Forrest, Sinclair, Edouard

Subs: Bain, Hendry, Hayes, Morgan, Mulumbu, Ralston, Johnston

  1. There has to be a time to ditch players that do not give 100% in games taking good wages and showing nothing, when you play some players we never win so way do it,,you need to clear out around ten maybe more and start again we now find we can not win away games in Scotland now,,are we watching a team that can not win away games? a clear out needs to be done and fast..

  2. Play brown in games and you forfeit 20 minutes of play due to back passing 25 years learning the game yet CanT pick a pass going forward just another Neil Lennon type
