Celtic today find themselves in a familiar position after an away day European defeat. Brendan Rodgers team is in need of a pick-me-up. On this occasion, against Valencia, the Celtic team return with a good performance under their belt despite a poor result and the end of another European adventure.

It will be interesting to see what kind of energy is left in the tank after a gruelling month of football. The Bhoys will notch up eight games in just twenty-five days. At some point, some serious squad rotation must happen. (continues below…)

Olivier Ntcham, Anthony Ralston, Filip Benkovic, Tom Rogic, Eboue Kouassi, Daniel Arzani & Leigh Griffiths will not be part of that squad rotation. Kieran Tierney has been a long time absentee and was expected to be on the bench today. But to Celtic fans delight, KT has not just made the starting eleven but he will wear the captain’s armband in the place of the suspended Scott Brown.

Edouard returns to lead the line while Nir Bitton and Ewan Henderson get a rare starting place. Callum McGregor has been giving a very rare day off as the midfielder has racked up more playing time than any other player in world football this season. This is a tricky tie and Brendan Rodgers is caught between needing a win and giving his players a much-needed rest. Kick off from Paradise is 3 PM.
