Celtic have four away games to play up to Boxing Day. The first of these games kicks off tonight in Dingwall against Ross County.

Tonight’s pre-match team news will all centre around injuries, who is fit and who is not.  Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou praised his players’ resilience after revealing further injury problems in his front line.

James Forrest has been ruled out of tonight’s Premiership contest with Ross County after going off injured against Motherwell on Sunday and fellow winger Mikey Johnston is a doubt for the trip.

The Hoops were already missing strikers Kyogo Furuhashi, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Albian Ajeti along with winger Jota and attacking midfielder Karamoko Dembele.

Celtic’s relentless schedule is leaving little room for respite and Forrest and Furuhashi are also doubts for Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup final against Hibernian with Ajeti and Jota definitely out and Giakoumakis unlikely to make it.

Furuhashi is “not far off” fitness and has been improving but Postecoglou is wary of setbacks and will continue to assess the Japan forward daily ahead of Sunday’s cup final clash at Hampden against Hibs.

The cup final, however, has been pushed to the back of Postecoglou’s mind and will not affect his team selection.

With the teams just released this is how the Celts line up tonight:

This is probably one of the most defensive sides Ange has named since he joined Celtic. Just where Scales and Montogomroy fit into the side we will have to wait and see. Tom Rogic on the bench does break my heart a bit, the big Australian has been a joy to watch this season.

Celtic have won nine of their last 10 league meetings with Ross County, beating them 3-0 at Celtic Park earlier this season. Ross County won their last home league match against Celtic 1-0 in February of last season, ending a 10-game home league winless run against the Hoops.

Celtic have won each of their last five away league matches, scoring two or more goals each time.
