Celtic kick off their Europa League campaign this evening with a now familiar opponent in Rosenborg. Celtic have had the upper hand in the last two seasons. The Bhoys knocked the Norwegians out of the Champions League qualifiers only last month, but that won’t matter one jot this evening.
Celtic fans have witnessed a spluttering start to a new season without any real form or encouraging play to draw upon tonight. The truth is it’s hard to guess pre-match what team and formation is running through Brendan Rodgers mind.
You could say that the tonights starting team doesn’t have any surprises. Rodgers did speak during the week about not conceding or losing games at home. His team selection tonight suggests thats high on his agenda with a very solid looking team. Most Celtic fans want to see the Celtic gaffer go two up front, for some reason we don’t think that will happen on the European stage.
