CELTIC now know they will face AIK on Thursday next week after the Swedish side beat Sheriff over two legs.

The game in Sweden ended 1-1 this evening but AIK won 2-1 in the first leg to make it 3-2.

This will be a tough game for the Scottish Champions. AIK are currently 1 point off the top of the Swedish League with over half the games played domestically.

They are well into their season and will fancy their chances against Celtic after watching Cluj out four past the Bhoys on Tuesday.

We wonder if Neil Lennon will call upon former team-mates Johan Mjallby and Henrik Larsson who may know more about the club than match scouts at the club.

Celtic need to win the tie to make sure of European football until Christmas. Another defeat would leave the Celtic diary very open for the season and is unthinkable at this point.

The first leg is August 22 at Celtic Park.
