The Irish FA has just announced Celtic will play the Republic of Ireland on May 20th.
The match will be Celtic captain Scott Brown’s testimonial and will take place a day after the Scottish Cup final should Celtic get there.
The Irish national team have played against Celtic before in testimonials being the opposition in Packie Bonner and Jackie McNamara’s testimonials in the past.
This means former Celtic boss Martin O’Neill will be back in the Celtic Park dugout in what’s sure to be a great day out for all.
A proportion of proceeds from the match will go towards various charities and causes of Scott’s choice, including the family of former Celtic and Ireland player Liam Miller. Nice touch by Broony.
The game is scheduled to kick off 2 pm on May 20th.
