CELTIC’S Leo Mazis seems to be making a big impression at youth club level for Celtic.

The player who signed a deal with the club early this year after a successful trial period last year has been going from strength to strength for Celtic’s under 19s.

He has come on so well in recent months the midfielder has now been called up to Australia’s under 18 squad to face Japan and Paraguay in the SBS Cup later this month.

This will be his first ever involvement with his national side.

Mazis was brought in by Brendan Rodgers who was desperate to land the midfielder after he seen him on trial.

Since signing, Mazis has taken in multiple sessions with the first team as well as going about his youth duties.

The player has spoken recently about his tough start in Glasgow and the culture shock but Tom Rogic has been doing his bit to help the youngster fully transition.

This is yet more recognition for Celts at youth level with many exciting young talents in the current crop of players such as Mikey Johnston, Karamako Dembele and Jack Aitchison – the future is bright for Celtic.
