All Celtic has had left to play for in the league for the last few months is pride in the jersey and even that has been deserted at times. As fans go from one drab performance to another just waiting for the season to end and a rebuild to start it is important some focus remains intact for what is left of a disastrous season.

The Rangers team could win the Scottish Premiership today if Celtic drop points to Dundee United. If it doesn’t happen today then the next Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park could take on a whole new meaning. The other team in Glasgow been crowned champions has been inevitable for quite some time, the only say Celtic has left in the matter is that it won’t be today or the Glasgow Derby on the 21st.

After losing 1-0 at Ross County in February, Celtic are looking to avoid suffering back-to-back away league defeats for the first time since March 2013 but it has been one of those seasons of unwanted records and it has got to a stage where fans are hoping for the best and expecting the worse.

Jullien & Taylor remain unavailable for interim boss John Kennedy today but that still leaves a massive squad to try something different or something new for what’s left of the season.

When Kennedy managed his first game since Lennon’s departure last week he showed his hand and he only went as bold as dropping Ajeti for Klimala. The result was the same old performance this season.

If Kennedy has some of his own ideas, if he has any ambition then he must roll the dice, if he thinks the same starting eleven and same tactics as Neil Lennon is the way to go then expect the same drab football and results.

With the teams just announced officially, this is how the Celtic team line up today.

If anyone was expecting to see any major changes to the Celtic line up they will be disappointed. Klimala drops to the bench and in comes Elyounoussi. James Forrest is on today’s bench after months out of the game with injury.

Dundee United vs Celtic is on Sky Sports from 11 am with a 12pm kick-off.
