JOHN McGlynn has confirmed Celtic youngster and top Raith performer Regan Hendry will be out of action for at least four months after suffering an injury.

Regan recently rejoined Raith on-loan when McGlynn left his post at Celtic last month and again performed well for the lower league side.

However, the 20-year-old will now return to Celtic to be treated for the injury and may or may not join back up with Raith Rovers next year.

Speaking about the unfortunate injury, McGlynn was absolutely gutted: “Regan Hendry is out for three to four months. He’s done his posterior cruciate ligament.

“That’s another massive blow to us. He’s been our top player in the last few weeks since coming here.”

It’s a very unfortunate injury for young Regan who has been looking to impress the higher-ups at Celtic by performing to a good level with Raith.

The player has been a standout at times for the developmental squad and he’s getting to the age where he needs more game time.

Hopefully Regan comes back stronger.
