CELTIC will travel to Latvia this week to take on Riga in the one-off third qualifying round match to see which team makes the playoff.

The bhoys dropped down to the competition after being knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers for the third consecutive season.

Nothing should be taken for granted when it comes to Europe and the bhoys must be at their best on the night to make sure they safely head to the playoff stage.

Celtic were drawn away in the tie which means the club will NOT be showing the game as part of the Celtic FC Season Ticket Pass. Instead, it will be Premier Sports who pick the game up for Celtic fans and will cost anyone who isn’t already subscribed £9.99 for the month. It might be a wise investment; should Celtic progress, the next game is likely to be on the same channel.

It’s costly being a Celtic fan trying to watch the club in all competitions. You have the season ticket pass to get you SPFL home games, you need Premier Sports for Europe and BT Sports should we get to the group stage. A full Sky Sports package to make sure you get in as many away games as possible and of course, two games Sky Sports failed to put on their channel ended up on club PPV with Ross County and St Johnstone. We might not be able to get to games but financially, we’re still taking a big hit!
