A new study has proved there is one team benefitting from more spot kicks than by one else and it ain’t Celtic! Go figure.

The club who has the most potent attacking threat in the league falls to a miserable seventh in the SPFL table in penalties awarded since the 17/18 season.

Glasgow Times report, there was one team who benefitted from referee’s handing out penalties and it was as you would expect.

Celtic have had a penalty every 681 minutes while the other lot manage one every 411 minutes.

Our friends from across the city benefit the most from being handed out spot kicks. It’s hardly surprising as the above tweet has become a running joke on social media.

They were handed four penalties in one game not so long ago.

Celtic on the other hand have had some very dubious decisions when it comes to not getting spot kicks. You would think the side who attacks most, makes the most chances would be at the higher end of the table; seventh tells its own story.

  1. Very surprising that the MSSM report this, questions will be asked at the next lodge meeting as to why this was allowed to leak out.
