CELTIC COLT’s play East Kilbride in their first home game in the Scottish Lowland league.

Tommy McIntyre has named a very young and inexperienced team, as you would expect.

The Colt’s boss won’t know exactly what he’s working with for the duration of the season yet. Ange Postecoglou is still running the rule over some of the youngsters who are eligible to play in the league.

These young lads will likely grow into the season and become more of a unit as time goes on. They were beaten 2-1 in their opening day fixture but they’ll be hoping home advantage today counts for something.

If it wasn’t for this colt set up, a lot of these lads would have to be loaned out and spread across Scottish football where it’s difficult to track their progress. The chance to play a system suited to the Celtic first team and learn at the academy will only be a benefit to the players and the club.
