Celtic are taking on Motherwell at Lennoxtown this afternoon in the Reserve cup and we’ve got a bit of a surprise in the starting line up for the hoops.

Eboue Kouassi will START for the reserves today in what would be his first game of football for the Hoops in over a year.

The midfielder suffered a season ending injury against Hearts at Murrayfield last year during the League Cup semi final. Although we’ve seen him train with the first team this year, he’s not played any football at all to this point for either the reserves or first team.

Could this be Neil Lennon taking another look at the midfielder to find out if he needs to delve into the market in January for a midfielder?

The rest of the squad reads very well with Afolabi, Burt and Dembele playing in up top. Armstrong Ono-flex is taking a rare place on the bench – the little striker scoring more often than not for the developmental side.

The game kicks off at 1:30pm, stay tuned for updates.
