Neil Lennon’s side is in desperate need of a win to give everyone associated with Celtic a much-needed pick-me-up but it will take something special for that win to come tonight in France against Lille.

Lille battered Sparta Prague 4-1 last week as Yusuf Yazici banged in a hat-trick against a very compontent Sparta team last Thursday. The French outfit are second in Ligue 1 and level on points with PSG. They are unbeaten in the league this term.

On the other hand, this is the kind of game where a result could spin Celtic’s season back in the right direction and give everyone at the club a bit of a lift. The Hoops boss has been hit hard with injuries since the international break and he had Bitton and Edouard back available for selection tonight while Elhamed stayed back in Glasgow.

With the team just announced, this is the Celtic team to face Lille tonight:

Lennon has stuck with four at the back by the looks of his selection tonight. There probably isn’t too many surprises in the lineup and the real news is on the bench. French Eddy makes a return for selection after nearly a month. Leigh Griffiths can probably feel aggrieved after his performance and goal at the weekend.

Barkas misses out again and is on the bench also. Karamoko Dembele is another player giving the Hoops bench more of a talking point than the team selection. Kick-off is at the earlier time of 5.55pm
