It’s derby day in Glasgow. With at least two more derbies left in this wreck of a season, all Celtic has left to play for today is a bit of pride in the jersey and at this stage that will do Celtic fans just fine.

Nobody has laid a glove on the Ibrox team this season in the league, they are still unbeaten in the SPFL and the Celtic team has a responsibility today to put an end to that stat. The Bhoys can take some heart from their performance the last time the two teams met. Celtic dominated the game and only for some world-class saves from Allan McGregor and an OG from Callum McGregor the Rangers got a result they didn’t deserve at Ibrox.

There is also a possibility of the two teams meeting in the Scottish Cup, a trophy that would go a long way to soothing some of the league pain this season and stop the other lot from doing a double.

It’s very hard to see John Kennedy fielding a team today with too many surprises in it. Anyone who seems to have worked with John in the past seems to only have great things to say about his abilities as a coach but fans have yet to see it in performances.

With the teams just announced, this how the Hoops will line up today:

As expected, there are no major surprises in the lineup. Kennedy does have a very strong bench if he needs it but hopefully, this team digs deep and gives its fans some much-needed cheer.
