This afternoon we reported on a shirt design which had made its way onto social media. The silver and pink design was billed as Celtic’s third kit for this season. At the time we couldn’t confirm or discount the rumoured image but FootyHeadlines have now made it clear this WILL be Celtic’s new third kit.

New Balance have been a mixed bag with the club’s strips over the years but from our first peek around social media, there are more fans against this colour scheme than for it.

Footy Headlines get the scoops on most kits from the top clubs around the world and this time is no different. They bill the kit as ‘unusual’.

They’re not wrong!

The pink Celtic logo which looks like it will be a heat transfer and the large pink stripe across the kit might make this kit one of the worst in Celtic’s history. It’s all about opinions, but this is out there!

  1. Surely someone at Celtic has the last say in any new strip. It’s a joke. Maybe emerald green with a white or orange chevron or bright yellow with a lime (ish) chevron. But not this. This is a big NO.
I know it’s aimed at the female supporters, making it “girly”, but even my wife took one look at it and shuddered.

  2. Hmmmm. If paired with black shorts and socks, the the whole ensemble might pass as “borderline acceptable” but the pink badge is a no no for me. I’m not against pink in strips if its kept tasteful and balanced out with darker shades. I cant see this catching on at all. In fact I’m not a fan of ANY of our strips this year!! Hopefully that means we’ll play amazing in them?
