Brendan Rodgers hand-picked head scout Lee Congerton’s time at Celtic was hardly fruitful for the club.

The head scout was constantly criticised during his spell at Celtic for bringing in players not near the standard we needed.

One player signed under the Congerton regime was Australian youngster Leo Mazis. The player had a trial with the club two years ago with another Australian talent and he was signed shortly after.

The youngster played in the reserves and developmental team but found himself on the bench a lot of the time.

This season has seen Leo fall down the pecking order in developmental with a new wave of talent.

Tonight he has confirmed his exit from the club to join Italian club Triestina.

The player thanked Celtic for helping his development but is now looking to the future with his new side.

Another swing and miss from Lee as he sits at his desk at Leicester.
