CELTIC may not have a better chance to be Leipzig after it was revealed today top stars Yussuf Poulsen and Timo Werner did not fly to Glasgow with the squad.
It’s being reported that the pair are definitely out of the tie at Celtic Park; Werner with a toe injury while Poulsen has a back problem.
This tied in together with the news earlier this week that Emil Forsberg was out and even Jean Kevin-Augustin’s fitness is in question – however, he has travelled with the squad.
Leipzig has strength in depth and will still have star men Bruma and Cunha to call upon during the Europa League tie – the pair will be Leipzig’s biggest threats going forward.
For Celtic, it’s a chance to get at the Germans and hopefully unsettle them early.
If a packed Celtic Park can do their bit then who knows what the bhoys could achieve on the night.
It’s a must win for the Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers but Leipzig would be happy with a draw at this stage.
