LEWIS MORGAN has no time to dwell on the failed promotion push with Sunderland as he readies himself for the season ahead with Celtic.

The midfielder went out on-loan to join his old St Mirren boss Jack Ross when he came calling back in January. Brendan Rodgers, manager of Celtic at the time gave the player his blessing to make the move.

Lewis has done very well for the Black Cats and even though he couldn’t help them over the line to promotion back to the Championship there’s still a sizeable amount of fans who want to see Sunderland make a permanent move for the Celtic player.

However, Lewis Morgan has revealed Neil Lennon has been very hands-on about what comes next and has been in touch with Lewis’ agent about his immediate future.

From the midfielder’s words after revealing a phone conversation, it looks like the Celtic manager is going to give Lewis every chance to make his mark at Celtic in the coming season.

“Neil Lennon gave my agent a ring. It’s been quite a quick turnover for him and I’m sure he has been busy.” he told SunSport.

“The club have done really well, getting the treble Treble. That’s unprecedented.

“Now I’m looking forward to going back in and working with him.

“The aim is to play. That always has to be the aim. Being part of things week in and week out is what you want to do.
